Flock House Farm Institute

This exhibition on show at the Bulls Museum covering the operation of this institute as a Farm Training Centre 1924 until its closure in 1988. Many photographs, personal stories and memorabilia on display.

Mounted Rifles & WW1 Display

The Mounted riflemen of Australia and New Zealand rarely rode their horses directly into the enemy lines in a frontal charge. For the A.L.H. and the N.Z.M.R. the most successful technique was for the horsemen to move quickly about the intended battlefield then dismount and attack on foot as infantryman.

Bess, a local horse, was never wounded. Bess was one of only 4 horses that returned to NZ after the war
